It was a great week in the garden this week! We mulched and beautified the west border bed and prepared the area for completing our cinderblock art wall and to install the communication board over the next 10 days. We donated 22 pounds of food, including cucumbers, kohlrabi, kale, swiss chard and onions. Our garlic is hanging to cure and we are processing peas and chive seeds for future planting. Many new bean plants are in and we also have a new blueberry bush. We may have a special guest volunteer this week. Her name is Misty and she is a horticulturalist who has worked on landscaping projects including the installations at COSI, Frankilin Park Conservatory, and other downtown plantings. She's interested in checking out what we are doing and maybe answering some questions, offering advice for design and management. We will meet from 6-8 pm on Tuesday and I hope to see you there!
