Phyte Club update:
It was a great week in the garden this week! We received a grant through a partnership with the USDA and Price Farm Organics that will be supplying us with compost for our garden beds. They will be delivering it in stages, but expect to see Phyte Club frantically shoveling mounds of healthy finished compost into beds around the Linworth campus. In addition, this week we ate spelt bread, moved more leaves to the hugelkultur, harvest radishes, kale and the last of the onions, and trimmed up around the fence. Next week, we will shovel compost, work on watering under the covered beds, shovel compost, move organic material to the hugelkultur, and shovel compost. Did I mention shoveling compost? Join Us!
Phyte Club meets on Mondays from 3:15-4:30 year round. Everyone is welcome.
