It was a great week in the garden this week even though our plants were not big enough to sell at the Worthington Farmers Market this week. We will be at Green on the Green this coming Saturday-- May 10th-- from 9-noon selling plants and crafts as well as talking about sustainability. We did finish prepping the 3 Sisters beds. We mulched and cleaned up the Ohio Natives garden, installed the cistern, planted two trees, built a trellis for the sweet potatoes (which are still alive!) and got started on building the trellis in the new squash bed. Even more exciting-- Fenn put the finishing touches on the new gate, so now it has a proper latch and everything! This coming week, we will plant the 3 Sisters and the bush beans, mulch around the new trees, finish the edging, and weed the thistles on the rim of the labyrinth.
