It was a great week in the garden this week! We tagged the last of our monarchs and sent them off to Mexico. We finished adding gravel to the labyrinth, and got almost all the tomatoes harvested. We pulled out the finished cucumber vines and put in some lettuce, and worked on our compost corridor. This week, we will work on the labyrinth berm, cleaning up the food forest for winter, harvesting the last of the tomatoes and squashes, and further developing the compost corridor. This week, we should meet our 1,000 pound harvest goal!
Phyte Club meets on Mondays after school from 3:15 - 4:15, and students can work on projects during their open blocks at school. Everyone is welcome! Ask Monica and she will help you get connected.
