It was a great week in the garden this week! The Treehuggers class learned to pin insects using the very destructive, but beautiful invasive spotted lantern fly. They also worked on the layout for the Native Food Forest. Phyte Club finished harvesting tomatoes ( over 150 lbs. of tomatoes this year!) We also finished mulching our pathways, put in cover crops, and added borders to the west and south side of the garden. Next week, we will fill in the south border bed, cut back the non blooming natives, work on our watering system and harvest the last of the gourds.
Phyte Club meets on Mondays from 3:15- 4:15 on school days throughout the year. Anyone in the Linworth community is welcome to join us! You don't need to sign up ahead of time. Just show up at Phyte Club and we will get you started!
