Phyte Club Update October 26

Published on 26 October 2025 at 19:48

It was a great week in the garden this week! Treehuggers installed the orchard portion of the native food forest-- including persimmon, pawpaw and elderberry, among others. They will add raspberries next week before that area settles down for winter. Phyte Club got all of the garlic planted and installed the row covers on two of the beds. Next week, we will harvest sweet potatoes and onions, start some radishes under the row covers and clean out the shed in preparation for the winter.

On November 1st, Phyte Club will be at the Worthington Farmers Market for our second annual Plant your Pumpkin event. Bring your used jack-o-lantern and we will help you turn it into a native plant pocket garden!

Phyte Club meets on Mondays from 3:15- 4:15 on school days throughout the year.  Anyone in the Linworth community is welcome to join us! You don't need to sign up ahead of time. Just show up at Phyte Club and we will get you started!
