Phyte Club Update Oct 19

Published on 19 October 2025 at 17:37

It was a great week in the garden this week! Treehuggers finished building our fence-- though there are a few finishing touches to put on the gates. We finished adding soil to the border bed, got the garlic sorted, cleaned up the pathways and flattened the ground for the new sunflower bed. Next week will be a heavy planting week, with food forest installation and garlic planting, as well as getting the row covers up over the winter crops.

Phyte Club meets on Mondays from 3:15- 4:15 on school days throughout the year.  Anyone in the Linworth community is welcome to join us! You don't need to sign up ahead of time. Just show up at Phyte Club and we will get you started!

Hello lovely tree huggers and gardeners... I'm your neighbor at the corner of 161 and Alrojo and have the pollinator prairie. I just wanted to share that I ask to be put on the No Fog list every year..I ask Franklin County Vector Control and Sharon TWP to please avoid spraying mosquito spray from their trucks. I try to protect all of the pollinators that live in the prairie. I thought you might like to know about this option abd you could protect the pollinators that live in your gardens...:) You just need to call in March or April... spraying usually starts in June ...my cell is 614-702-9710 call if I can help..:). Sincerely, Barb
